I like the show Sherlock, so of course, I am compelled to draw something with a ton of details from the show crammed in it.

Fringe

I sketched this right after watching the series finale. Happy to see a fun show go out of it's own terms. I would've loved to see the crazy time-traveling adventures of Walter and Kid Observer though.

After subjecting them all to it, I promised my Lost-watching family members I'd do one of these drawings of me in the Dharma Initiative - so here it finally is. You may think Desmond brought that plane down, but Dharma had somebody on the inside.

Halloweenie

Who's hasn't updated their blog in a long while and is excited for Halloween? Me! So halloween always reminds me of this awesome episode of Pete & Pete and I drew this in tribute. This one is completely digital - sorry for the neglect, pens.

The villain from Heroes who rips people's heads open with his finger and steals their brains and powers and junk. Tried to go for a more finished look (i.e. an actual background), and cooler colors, so uh - here it is!

The Office

I got through all of the Office dvds I got for Christmas and constantly was reminded this is probably the best show on tv. The concept is that Michael has his employees locked in the meeting room as a team building exercise and he's pretty proud of himself about it. Not quite sure about the color though, I might take another shot at this later.

Brock & Mol

I attempted to go a little further into inking with solid blacks - and boy, does it ever suck. The lesson? I should probably photo reference more than just the gun.

What Kate Did

Lost is starting up again tomorrow! This is based on one of the episodes, I envisioned it to be one of those Indiana Jones styled movie poster layouts. I just threw down these preliminary colors; might finish it later on.

A Venture Project

Update 8/1 - Finished! Did some photoshop details and additional shading, and worked more of the teleporting cape idea like i originally had in mind. I was happy to complete a more dynamic group shot as compared to the Xmen one, this was a fun one to play around with.


Update 7/29 - Finished with the Illustrator stuff, now to start with the Photoshop junk.


Update 7/27 - Started out work in Illustrator. I'm not quite sold on how the cape looks, but it's a start.


Update 7/26 - All the Venture crew is in the layout, now all that's left to do is everything.


Part 1 in a work in progress. To the right is a rough thumbnail of the kind of layout I'm going after. To the left are the first two characters, Dr. Orpheus and Triana. The whole Venture crew will eventually be eminating from Dr. O's cloak. I'm sticking with more stylized figures; not sure how I'll finish this, could use the normal photoshop method or possibly in vector.

Eko

You ever watch Lost? Well this guy is the bad-ass former African drug lord turned devout priest who carries a big stick that he carved scripture into that he killed two mysterious island people with. Oh, and he's surrounded by a black smoke monster who kills people and rips out trees and can read your mind. Consider yourself caught up... on one character out of 20.
