The Best

One of my favorite things, The Best Show on WFMU, is ending tomorrow night and all I can do is hope we hear from this Philadelphia-based lowlife one more time. Thanks Tom and Jon!

Baked Ziti Jones

This illustration was published in the Best Show magazine. Getting into the headspace of Spike to visualize exactly what "Baked Ziti Jones" would actually look like was fairly horrifying - something I'm sure Spike would be pretty happy about.

If you don't know what I'm talking about, set aside a few hundred hours and take a listen to the Best Show on WFMU archives!

Also, here's a bonus "too demented for the magazine" version of this illustration (complete with Garbage Pail Kid style typography)!

Philadelphia Draw-A-Thon

The Philadelphia Draw-A-Thon sells sketches whose proceeds go to the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia through the Child's Play Charity. Pretty cool event with game tournaments, live bands, etc. You can buy sketches online - and all for a good cause! Here are my sketches:

Indoor Kids T-shirt

Do you like videogames? Sure you do! Do you like funny people? Of course! Do you own an electronic device capable of playing podcasts? Who doesn't?!

I highly suggest you check out the awesome videogame-centered podcast The Indoor Kids hosted by Kumail Nanjiani and Emily V. Gordon. They're funny, married and like to talk about videogames. It can be intellectual, it can be silly and it's usually both. The podcast is always a fun listen and appeals to anyone with a glancing interest in videogames & videogame culture.

Here's where I come in. I designed this t-shirt for The Indoor Kids and you can pre-order it right now! Support this awesome podcast and get a cool shirt in return!

UPDATE! There's a hoodie too!

March 2013 Open Mic Poster

This month's poster is inspired by the Adventures in Wonderland illustrations of Sir John Tenniel.

I drew this with an actual, real-life pen! How quaint!

Fringe

I sketched this right after watching the series finale. Happy to see a fun show go out of it's own terms. I would've loved to see the crazy time-traveling adventures of Walter and Kid Observer though.
